Nuestro campus
The Buckley School's Lower, Middle, and Upper divisions are located on a single, 19-acre campus nestled in a wooded canyon in Sherman Oaks. Our campus is host to 830 student learners from ages 5-18 with levels of robust offerings in academic and co-curricular experiences.
Our facilities include a thoughtful design and important consideration of space as a tool for educational transformation. Our pedagogical examination behind this work is notably limited with a positive impact on the cognitive learning process. Flexible classroom space works to engage the learner more fully, mentally, and physically. The environmental qualities such as light, air, sound, moisture and temperature quality influence breadth, attention and focus.
What is the difference between a Tour and an Open House?
The day in the life of a Buckley student begins this Fall as we invite you to experience Buckley -- the sights, sounds, and ethos live and in-person.
Lower School Families will be guided by one of our admission professionals on the day in the life tour of a Buckley student on the lower elementary experience. You will receive a foretaste at first hand of how intimate, nurturing, and robust the
Middle and Upper School Families: You will be guided by one of our own Student Ambassadors. Student ambassadors are on hand to educate and familiarize visitors about campus life, history, and meaningful traditions. Many of them have been in your child's "shoes" as a prospective student entering the school in sixth, seventh, or ninth grade. They are eager to engage and answer any questions that you may not have thought about and share aspects of their journey and goals. All tours are scheduled thru the admission portal and occur between mid-September thru mid-December. Please wear comfortable shoes.
The Open House event and learn about Buckley’s people, program, and place. The event is centered on the people behind the curriculum that teach, mentor, and who thoughtfully leverage and curate the resources to develop the whole human.
Prospective families will have an opportunity to connect with various faculty, division heads, coaches, deans, players, academic chairs, artists, homeroom teachers, students, parents, and other thought leaders, including our Head of School Alona Scott.
Please join us for a moment as we pause from the engagement of a regular school day to welcome you into our curricular conversations in the context of a serene 19-acre campus providing a stimulating space for exploration and growth.
